RSA Confrence 2007 in San Francisco was one to remember!!

Last week as amazing in San Francisco!!  It was my 3rd RSA on the MS planning team and we pulled off a HUGE sucess (at least in my eyes)!!  First of all I  San Fran!!  I try not to let growing up in the Bay Area sway me, but it doesn't matter because San Fran rocks!!  This year the RSA Confrence grew into 2 halls and the overall layout was great.  This was my last event that Bill Gates will be a keynoter and that was a little bit sad as my first MS events had BillG as a keyntoer (Comdex, N+I, Windows World) .  I will tell you that this year when I called home to my son on Monday evening for his bedtime chat he was very impressed to ask me if Bill Gates was at my event and if I had seen him.  I can tell you that I was a hero to him at that moment as I was able to honestly tell him that I not only saw him, but that I talked to him.  I truly find it an great honor to have had the opportunity to not only meet BillG, but also to have shared in some great historical moments in our company with him.  I think one of my most memorale will be the launch of Windows 2000 in San Fran!!  To top off my BillG keynotes, this year at RSA we had a fire side chat with Bill Gates and Craig Mundie which was great.  You can view it on-line at www.microsoft.com/security/rsa (you will notice that for the first time we did NOT that is right - did NOT have a demo.  I think that everyone really enjoyed it as it was something new and cool for MS.  Our overall presence was amazing and I can not give enough credit to the smart, creative and dedicated people I work with.  I thnk I will save my next blog and call out many of them by name.

As usual I lost my voice during the event and for the first time I stayed and enjoyed the closing keynote - General Collin Powell.  He was very funny, sincere and inspirational.  I think it was a great thing that RSA brouhgt in someone who was able to close the event like that!

I have to run as we are ending the TechEd TLC planning meeting that we are in.  I have asked for a new color and they have offered our area yellow (which I just might take).  This next week we will be finalizing our sessions for this year's event.
I have alreaady registred for the event along with 1699 other people.  Can you believe that already??  This year's event is sure to SELL OUT again and I can't wait!!
I personally want to have the Security Track meet your needs so feel free to post to my blog and let me know what you want, need and think of all things security.
